2024 Great Plains Velocity HS2100-36
HIGH-SPEED HYBRID TILLAGEThe HS2100 Velocity is a hybrid tillage implement that combines the speed of a conventional tillage unit with some soil management aspects of vertical tillage. It is designed to bury more residue than a true vertical tillage tool, but with shallow-concavity SpeedBlades™ on 7½" spacings. The patented SpeedBlades aggressively power through heavy residue and thoroughly mix the soil without ridging.
Engineered to run at faster speeds than a conventional disk harrow, the Velocity out-cuts and out-finishes competitive low-concavity, high-speed disks that are often classified as vertical tillage implements. Hydraulic fore/aft leveling simplifies field adjustments to create a smooth finish in a variety of soil conditions. The hydraulic soil conditioner features heavy-duty 16" diameter reels with 1" rods that bust up clods for a well-prepared seedbed. Velocity is offered in six sizes, in working widths from 22' 11" to 36' 2".
Now available with Implement Command®, the Velocity adds on-the-go convenience to its repertoire of other key attributes. Other features designed for user convenience include single-point depth control that lets the operator change the depth of the entire implement from one central location, maintenance-free bearings, and self-sharpening SpeedBlades.
Features may include:
ADJUSTABLE FRONT GAUGE WHEELS- Gauge wheels adjustments are made manually on the 23', 26', and 30' models and hydraulically on 29', 33', and 36' models.
- The hydraulic soil conditioner features heavy-duty 16" diameter reels with 1" rods that are designed to bust up clods and level the surface, leaving a well-prepared seedbed.
- Hydraulic fore-and-aft leveling simplifies field adjustments to create a smooth finish in any soil condition.
- The Velocity utilizes low-concavity, serrated SpeedBlades to aggressively power through heavy residue, thoroughly mixing soil at higher speeds without ridging. Each blade is 22-inches in diameter and 1/4-inch thick to withstand tough soil conditions. Unlike other blades on the market, SpeedBlades turn 5% faster than smooth blades, are self-sharpening, and maintain their shape as they wear.
- This feature allows the operator to change the depth of the entire machine from one central location.
- 7-lip seals on each side of the gang bearings lock in grease and prevent contamination. Additionally, the walking beam pivots utilize coated bushings, eliminating the need for tapered bearings and grease in pivot points. Drop axles pivot on anti-rotational pins, requiring no maintenance.
- Variety of hitch configurations tow cover crop, nutrient application, and other light-duty attachments.
