The Orthman Seedbed Conditioner is a multipurpose residue management and seedbed preparation tool for chopping stalks and preparing your fields for planting. The seedbed conditioner uses a unique 7-blade spiral chopper and double-conditioning baskets to chop stalks, stir loosened soil and leave a level seedbed for the ultimate planter ride and performance.

• The full-width spiral chopper reel features seven high-carbon steel blades designed to maintain a sharp edge for maximum cutting power for the life of the blades. Extend your machine life even further with enormous 2.5” main shafts and bearings.

• The dual, rear rolling baskets feature a solid center shaft mounted on heavy-duty bearings to help ensure you stay in the field, spending less time doing daily maintenance.

• The rear baskets are supported by a walking tandem beam that allows smooth travel and creates a seed-ready surface. More importantly, because down pressure on the rear baskets is fully adjustable, you can fine-tune the level of seedbed firmness to meet changing field conditions.
